Earlier last month, Tasha asked me if I wanted to do a swap and since I haven’t done one in a while.. I said yes ♥ Our budget was $75 and we decided to focus more on “fashion” pieces rather than “makeup.” I didn’t really asked for anything in particular either lol. Any who, we sent out our package some time last week and I received mine on Monday. Ohh, I was so excited hehe.

I’ve gotten a request to do my Top 3 lipsticks in the following shades: Nudes, Pinks, Reds, and Corals. So here it is! Note that my FAVORITE brand for lipsticks is MAC ♥ Second is Revlon.. hehe so yes, most of these are MAC. Any who, I picked 3 from each shade that I would go for from my whole lipstick collection for this. Clearly Pink Sheertone Blush

My thoughts: I personally really love this color. Since it’s a sheertone blush, you can build up the intensity depending on your skin color or your preference. I think this color is great for any season as well :)

♥ Melba

Soft coral-peach Matte Blush

My thoughts: This has got to be my favorite! It works great with any skin color. Definitely pigmented and the coral-peach color gives you a natural looking glow. I think is can be worn in any season as well, but definitely a MUST for the summer.

Capri bronze Sheertone Blush

My thoughts: This is quite similar to Melba though it has a bit more of the brown color to it. It’s still a pretty color though. It’s sheertone so it doesn’t come on too dark right away. This is great for the summer :) And no, don’t use this as a bronzer LOL It has a bit more brown/bronzy color to it but it also looks coral in a way so it’d look funny if you use it as a “bronzer.” (I think so at least hehe)

Very baby peach Sheertone Shimmer Blush

My thoughts: This is a gorgeous color. I can wear this any time/any season. It has more of a pink to it than coral though :) The shimmer in it is gold and it’s just gorgeous! I was told this is a dupe for NARS Orgasm as well.

♥ Springsheen

Peach with pearl Sheertone Shimmer Blush

My thoughts: I thought this was the same as Peachkeen but nope! It’s more of a coral color and it has a golden & silver flex to it.. it’s a beautiful color! Perfect for any season, especially the summer! I also think this will look good on any skin color.

I love MAC blushes. For the price I honestly think it’s worth it. All products applies on nicely and smoothly. I think they are also kind of powdery but not as powdery as the ELF Studio blushes. Also, for me, they last all day long :)

my recommendations for Back to School

For the 1st episode for my Back to School Series, I decided to talk about foundations. Here I talk about 3 different foundations, one you can only get online, one high-end, and one low-end :) This video also shows a foundation routine using one of the foundations that I will be talking about.

MAC Pro Longwear
* SPF 10, lasts up to 8-10 hours, creamy, lightweight, oil-free, applies smoothly, sheer to med coverage. My thoughts: It does what it’s suppose to do (listed above). It has a semi-matte finish. Also, blends very nicely and I think it’s med-full coverage for it is very buildable. This retails for $29+, and it is SO WORTH IT!

Etude House Collagen Moistful Essence-In Foundation
* SPF 22, Long lasting/semi waterproof, light-med coverage, oil-free, has a FRESH smell, blendable, natural looking, lightweight. My thoughts: This is definitely good for those who have oily skin! I have oily T-zone area, so I have to blot once in a while but with this foundation.. that rarely happens. It’s semi waterproof, doesn’t look cakey and it honestly feels like your face can breathe! I highly highly recommend this foundation :) I think it’s suitable for all skin types.

L’Oreal Magic Smooth Souffle
*Lightweight, blendable, med-full coverage, oil-free, semi-matte finish, long lasting, fragrance free. My thoughts: I wasn’t really expecting anything amazing from this foundation for it was only around $13… but I fell in love the first time I used it! A lot of people doesn’t like it but i do… I use my beauty blender when applying it and it just gives me a very nice finish and also light application that covers up EVERYTHING! I’m absolutely head over heels this foundation :) It last a long time and definitely feels like you’re not wearing makeup! Your face will look flawless ♥

I haven’t really been shopping lately.. for I’m pretty broke right now. How!?
After Spring Break, my car’s transmission decided to die on me >.<;;; It cost $1500 to get it fixed. Then Sushi just got fixed (spade), which cost $220. So yes, I’m broke… BLAHHH *cries* Anyways, I gave up shopping for lent but since I’ve been feeling so stressed out lately (personal issues + school)… I definitely was in need of some “retail therapy.” I didn’t buy a lot of things and I didn’t buy all these items all at once.

First, I wanna show you guys this lace top (which is what I was wearing in the video at the end of this post). I got this from GoodWill last Friday. YES!!! A thrift store and guess what brand!? BANANA REPUBLIC. Guess how much!? $2.99!!! A great steal or what!? I’m definitely in love with it ♥ It’s been a while since I bought anything from GoodWill (or actually, find something good there), so I was really really excited to have found this!

Any who, you’ll be seeing this a LOT!!! In the video I wore it with a creamy tank top… It would look so cute with a coral top too! Ahhh, I need to get me a coral top… eeek! It’s just so cute ♥ Definitely my favorite purchase.

Next are my purchases from JC Penny. I went there Friday morning.. and saw that they were having a DOOR BUSTER ♥ YAY for SALES!!! I didn’t really get a lot of things from the CLEARANCE line (well except for one) but yeah. hehe

This shirt was on the CLEARANCE rack but I still don’t think the price was “clearance” worthy. I consider clearance to be like UNDER $10. But any who, I saw this shirt before (when it wasn’t on sale) and I’ve been wanting it so.. I couldn’t pass it up when I saw that it was on Sale for $13.60. (60% OFF, Originally $34.00)

Tom & I were at JC Penny last week? And I saw this but didn’t get it for I thought it was pricey. But on Friday, I just had to get it! It was still pretty pricey ($19.99) but I tried it on and OMG I just loved it and I so love this type of material. It’s just too cute ♥ It also came in other colors… I might have to go back and try on the other ones… lol

I almost didn’t get this because it’s a Medium (they didn’t have anymore Smalls) but when I tried it one… OH MY. I WAS IN LOVE ♥ This one was actually cheaper than the other.. I got it for $15.99 :) So I’m happy with it.

Lastly is this gorgeous white top. I got this for $15.99 :) I just feel like it’d be perfect for any occasion! ♥ It would look really cute tucked in with shorts or worn as a tunic to the beach! Eeek, can NOT wait to wear this!

I’ve always been wanting to try these… so I went ahead and got one ♥ Since I LOVE RIMMEL & this was only $3.97 :) I’m very happy with the pigmentation and it’s also not powdery ♥ LOVEEE!!!

I definitely needed a new “brow gel.” YES! I use CLEAR MASCARAS as my brow gel :) (It honestly works wonders!) Any who, I picked this up ♥ I was using the BONNEBEL Clear Mascara before but I ran out and couldn’t find it at WalMart anymore so I go this one instead from Shopko ♥ (I don’t quite remember the price of this.. I think between $3-5?)

As I mentioned in my… TOP Lipsticks video, I’m not really a fan of NYX lipsticks anymore but I haven’t tried this line from NYX yet (I only had their Round Lipsticks) so I thought I’d give it a go; and of course, I LOVE MAC so YAYY ♥ I love this shade too ^.^ And lastly is the Cremesheen Glass! It’s actually my first lipgloss EVER from MAC so I was scared to get it (plus I’m very picky when it comes to lipglosses) but thank goodness I LOVE THIS ♥ Definitely reminds me of Revlon Super Lustrous Lipglosses which are my faves ♥
